We had a very exciting day here on our little farm. First we found these little lovelies:
Penny had her puppies sometime during the night. I went out to feed the chickens and when she didn't immediately come running in my direction, I knew something was up. Then I heard the squeaking. Tiny little yelps. My goodness, they are adorable. 3 brown and 3 black little balls of fur. Both the belle's are in love!
As if that weren't enough, we got another surprise:
After a few snake attacks on the eggs this hen was laying on, we were concerned there would be no fertilized eggs to hatch. What a surprise it was to find this little chick hiding under it's mama.
There must be something in the water; Penny had babies, a hen had a baby, and we're having a baby in January. What a blessing!
